Faction Question
Is it possible to be part of a Luxon Alliance, and still get Kurzick faction? 'Cause my guild is Luxon, but the Kurzick armor for Assassins is way cooler than the Luxon armor for Assassins. And the best way to get a certain material required for that armor is by trading 1000 Kurzick faction for one of that particular material with a collector/trader. So is it possible to be pledged to the Luxons, and still do some mission for the Kurzicks? Thanks!

Yeah you can, but you will lost the same amount of luxon points when you gain kurzick points. For example you did the kurzick quest and get a reward but you already have 2000 luxon points and the quest give you 1500 kurzick points, you will end up with 1500 kurzick and 500 luxon.
Ambers are not overly expensive now, maybe it's better if you just buy them but do make sure your kurzick factions are higher than luxon. Otherwise noone on the kurzick side will talk to you. |

You don't have to have Luxon faction once you have aligned with the Luxon side.
But as Etta explained, spending Kurzick faction will wipe out any Luxon faction you have. You should use up the Luxon (spend or donate) before doing the Kurzick quests. |

^What Darcy said, spend the luxon faction you got, either donate it to your alliance or use it on jade, sell the jade and buy amber with the money you made . If you have a friend in a kurzick alliance, ask him to give you guest privilege to his hall and you can AB for the kurzicks that way if you don't want to go through all the quests.

You can gain Faction on either side no matter what your guild's allegiance is. When you spend faction on either side, you lose the same amount on teh other side.
example: You spend 1,000 Kurzick Faction for an Amber Chunk. You will lose 1,000 Luxon Faction for doing so. And visa versa. No Matter what your allegiance is, you can talk to traders on either side provided you have more Luxon Faction than Kurzick Faction and visa versa. Your Guild can be a Luxon Guild, but if you have more Kurzick Faction than Luxon Faction, you can talk to Kurzick traders including the guys who gives you amber chunks and Armor Crafters but you WILL NOT be able to talk to Luxon Traders, Crafter, etc. and visa versa. Quote:
If you do a Kurzick Quest and get 750 Faction for doing it, you will NOT lose that amount on the Luxon side. I am in a Kurzick Guild but my necro bought the 15k Luxon Armor and My Warrior ahs the 15k Kurzick Armor. I did NOT have to leave the guild in order to do so. My advice to you is, turn in all your kurzick faction first and get Amber Chunks, then cash in all your luxon faction for Jadeite and either trade for Amber OR Sell the Jadeite for Gold and Buy Amber. Then acquire Kurzick Faction and Trade it in for Amber just make sure you have Zero Luxon Faction(or close to). Last edited by Soul of the Scythe; Mar 14, 2007 at 03:37 PM // 15:37.. |
